We’re off to the Philippines!

View of Makati in Manila and the Pasig RiverOf all the places I’ve travelled to so far, South East Asia has always held a special place in my heart. So I’m super excited to share that this week I’m flying out to visit the Philippines for the very first time!

Covering the trip for both Ladies what…travel and Travel with a mate, I’m joining a group of fellow bloggers who’ve been invited on this whirlwind adventure of sun, sea and sand!

During our week as guests of the Philippines Department of Tourism we’ll be visiting Manila, as well as island hoping around Puerto Princesa and Bohol.

Aside from attempting to snorkel, lounging in spas and trying out the local cuisine there’s a couple of other things I’m especially looking forward to experiencing.

These include going on a mangrove paddleboat tour, exploring Puerto Princesa’s subterranean river and visiting the Chocolate Hills. I’m also hoping I’ll get to experience a little of old Manila thanks to the planned tour of Intramuros – the city’s historical centre.

Also, being a complete animal lover, I can’t wait to see a tarsier in its natural habitat, check out the fireflies in Bohol and possibly even go dolphin watching!

I’ll be busy tweeting and posting photos during the entire trip and you can follow all our adventures by:
