15 photos that will inspire you to visit Budapest

Many people had told me to visit Budapest in recent years and I’d heard many good things about the city before I visited. However, I was still surprised by how much, and how quickly, I fell in love with the Hungarian capital. Wherever I was in the city, whether the historic and hilly Buda or the bustling streets of Pest, I adored just slowly walking the wide streets and taking in the ambience of the different districts.

There’s so much to see and do in the city that I only scratched the surface of what Budapest has to offer during my long weekend visit, and I’m already thinking about when I can go back!

Over the coming weeks I’ll be talking much more about my time in Budapest and the experiences I had, but I wanted to start by sharing with you some of my favourite photos from my trip, highlighting how beautiful this city is and some of the things you can do there.

So, follow my time in Budapest with this photographic diary of my explorations around the city – I dare you not to feel inspired to book a trip there yourself by the time you get to the end…
