Gingerbread house

Merry Christmas from the Ladies What Travel

Yes, it’s that time of year again. The deccies are up, the presents (partially) wrapped and the Christmas movies are piled up beside the TV ready for us to watch!

Oh and do you like the gingerbread house? I made it myself!

After an amazing year for Ladies What Travel we’re signing off for a well earned Christmas break and will return refreshed and revitalised in the New Year. We’re planning to spend the next two weeks unwinding at home, visiting family and friends and eating more than a couple of tasty Xmas dinners – with Lou topping off her break with a very special trip to Iceland to celebrate New Year (not jealous at all!).

This year has definitely had it’s ups and downs in the ‘real world’ but here at LWT we’ve had an amazing 12 months, thanks to the support of you, our readers, who’ve been following our part-time travel adventures both near and far.

In 2016 Emma fell in love with Spain all over again thanks to her jaunt over to the Costa del Sol, Lou practically squealed with delight when she headed to Sketch for afternoon tea and Laura got adventurous in Iceland, while my personal highlights have included my long weekends in Budapest and Warsaw with my 2016 top stop on the Global Afternoon Tea Challenge being the Clifford Pier in Singapore: Ah-may-zing!

crap wrap
Best wrapping ever? Loved this gift from old friends Matt & Debz from Travel With A Mate!

We’ve already starting making our travel plans for 2017, with trips booked to the Italian Alps and the cathedral city of Ely, UK, plus we’re looking at potential travels to New York City, Copenhagen, Estonia and Malaysia amongst others.

Be sure to return to Ladies What Travel early in the New Year, as we’ll be kicking things off with a competition, but in the meantime we’ll still be hanging around on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram if you want to say hi!

I’m now off to open my advent calendar and get cosy with Bruce Willis and Die Hard, so, Merry Christmas everyone and here’s to a happy and healthy 2017!

Love Keri, Emma, Laura and Louise! xxxx

Christmas Tree
Love a good Christmas tree!

By day Co-Editor Keri is a freelance journalist and copywriter, but spends most of her free time either travelling or planning her next trip!  A complete travel fanatic, she has a love of tropical climates, wildlife and afternoon tea (hence the creation of her Global Afternoon Tea Challenge!)
