A Peachy Stay at The Fleece, Witney

I recently stayed at The Fleece in Witney, Oxfordshire with my Mum over a particularly snowy weekend in February, and we both loved the cosy and friendly atmosphere! Part of the Peach Pubs group, The Fleece sits on Witney’s Church Green (which was covered in a blanket of white during our visit), with the church stood starkly at one end surrounded by a few cottages, and the high street with shops and restaurants at the other. A really quaint little town, it wouldn’t have looked out of place if it was in a Midsummer Murders or Last of the Summer Wine episode! We arrived a little early and managed to…

Love travel and live music? Why not combine the two?

Late last year one of my friends text me to ask if I wanted to see Jessie Ware on her 2018 World Tour ‘Glasshouse’, and as I’ve been a fan of her music for a long time (and I have a massive girl crush on her) I jumped at the chance. This book may be pocket sized, but it’s crammed full of useful travel information, maps, things to do, dos and don’ts and walking tours. It’s split into useful sections for every kind of trip such as ‘In a Nutshell’, ‘Discovery Tours’, ‘Festivals and Events’ and ‘Travel with Kids’, and after many a night leading up to our trip spent thumbing through my new guide, I knew exactly which bits I couldn’t miss. The ‘Insider Tips’ section was a great because it offers great…

A quick guide to Amsterdam’s quirkier side

Amsterdam is famous for its houses, its Red Light District and its beer, but on Laura’s recent trip she managed to find a few things that weren’t in the tour guides. Read on for her quick guide to the city. My boyfriend and I have decided that instead of birthday presents every year, we will go on a city break (a much better idea in my opinion!) and this year, we chose Amsterdam as our birthday present to ourselves. I loved this city; the laid back vibe and peaceful canals were a great change of pace and a welcome break from our work lives, and everyone was so friendly (unless…
