Afternoon teas around the world!
Ah, afternoon tea, that quintessentially British event of whiling away an afternoon over finger sandwiches, sweet treats and a brew. Although synonymous with Britain, today you can partake in afternoon tea all across the world, with a swathe of high-end restaurants and hotels offering unique twists on the classic set up.
A long-term lover of afternoon tea, it accidentally became a tradition of mine to, whenever possible, have an afternoon tea in every new destination I visited.
The birth of the Global Afternoon Tea Challenge
The idea all began during my first trip to Asia, when I visited Hong Kong and decided that I just had to have afternoon tea at The Peninsula. Chatting over the scones I started talking about how great it would be to try out different afternoon teas around the world and so the Ladies What Travel Global Afternoon Tea Challenge was born!
