About Ladies what travel

Hello, we’re Emma and Keri, two friends from the UK who love to travel, whether on our own, on a girls weekend away or with our other halves.

We both work full-time, so created this blog for people like us – fans of travel, exploration, adventure and food, that want to make the most of a limited amount of annual leave and free time.

We spend a lot of our time exploring the best of what the UK has to offer, but we love to head further afield whenever we get the chance.

And since we both love food, our trips are often planned around the best places to eat, particularly if there’s a good afternoon tea nearby.

We cover everything from staying local or planning a weekend away to jetting off for your big annual holiday, including stories and advice on:

  • UK day trips
  • Mini-breaks, weekends away and road trips
  • Top things to do at our favourite destinations
  • International travel
  • Hotel, restaurant and attraction reviews
  • Travel tips and advice

The Editors

Keri Allan

Keri’s an established writer and editor, and a complete travel fanatic. She’s taken many trips to Europe, Asia and North America and is keen to add more stars to her travel map.

She loves luxury and quirky travel experiences and has set herself a challenge to experience afternoon tea in as many countries as possible. She’s also a big lover of wildlife and many of her travels focus around seeing animals in their natural habitats.

Cabarceno eagle

Emma is a freelancer who lives to travel and try out new and unusual things. She loves travelling overland, especially by train, and her husband is a car fanatic so they go on plenty of road trips together.

Her holidays are usually a mixture of activities, visiting historical sights and relaxation. She happily makes herself at home in both tents and luxury hotels and, as well as longer holidays, she’s also a big fan of day trips and mini-breaks.

The Contributors

Laura, contributor at Ladies what travel

Laura works for a charity as a communications manager and uses as much of her holiday as possible to travel the world. She loves to go on European city breaks as well as longer trips further afield and is keen to visit the USA and see more of South East Asia one day.

As well as visiting different countries, Laura loves finding hidden gems within the UK, including quirky walking tours, unusual afternoon teas and eccentric bars and pubs.

Louise Ladies what travel blogger

Louise works as Kuoni’s Social Media, SEO and Content Manager and loves to see as much of the world as often as she can. She had her wedding and honeymoon in Iceland and dreams of going back. She also loves a European city break, as well as Asian adventures – Japan is next on her wish list.

As well as travelling the world, Louise loves music, indie films, gaming, vintage shopping and a good magazine. She’s also a little bit of a coffee addict and has tried many flavours worldwide.
